All Seeing I - Pickled Eggs & Sherbet (1999)

Este es un discazo de aquellos, este proyecto británico de fines de los ‘90 llamado The All Seeing I, cuyo único disco, “Pickled Eggs & Sherbet”, se ha transformado en uno de mis discos de cabecera, posee un estilo muy interesante. Fundado en Sheffield, no sólo realizaron versiones muy bizarras de canciones poco imaginables en clave electrónica (Beat Goes on, de Sonny & Cher, canción que se usó en una publicidad de Coca Cola en Chile varios años atrás; o Mary had a Little Lamb). En fin el comentario va porque su disco tiene colaboraciones de varios músicos cercanos, esencialmente de Sheffield, entre los que se cuentan Tony Christie, Jarvis Cocker y… Philip Oakey, de Human League. La canción que mas me gusta del disco, se llama 1st Man in Space y es un temazo; Y como no ha de serlo si está escrita por el gran Jarvis Cocker, al igual que en otros cuatro tracks, (Walk Like A Panther, Drive Safely darlin, Stars on Sunday ,y por último Nicola)

Saquen sus propias conclusiones, para mi la musica britanica de los 90, debe ser desempolvada y valorada ahora, en tiempos que las nuevas bandas no impresionan, al menos a mi.
